How long will the batteries keep my equipment running in an outage?
Divide the battery's amp hours by the amps of the load. On paper, a 100Ah battery on a 10A load runs about 10 hours. Lithium can be used all the way down and holds a steady voltage, where most lead-acid makers say not to go past 50%.
Can I link batteries into a bigger bank or a 24V or 48V system?
Yes. You can connect up to 4 LBP batteries in parallel or series. Two 12V batteries in series make 24V, and a multi-bank charger charges them all at once. We also make 24V, 36V and 48V batteries.
What protects a battery on a site nobody is watching?
Every LBP battery has a built-in BMS that prevents overcharging, balances the cells while charging and shuts the battery off if there is a short or a temperature problem.
What charger should I use?
Use a lithium-compatible charger at the same voltage as the battery; we recommend an LBP smart charger. If an inverter charger does the charging, set its voltage to match your setup, or call us and we'll walk you through it.
Can the batteries get wet?
They are IP65 rated, so they can get wet, but they are not waterproof. Submerging one can make the seal fail and voids the warranty.
