Frequently asked questions

Clear answers on lithium battery safety, performance and compatibility.

Or call (727) 223-9831

What are the advantages of lithium batteries over lead-acid?

Lithium batteries offer a longer lifespan, faster charging, higher energy density and are significantly lighter than lead-acid. They need minimal maintenance and provide consistent power output.

How long do lithium batteries typically last?

It depends on usage and environment. On average they last 5 to 15 years, or 2,000 to 5,000 charge cycles, making them a cost-effective long-term energy solution.

Are lithium batteries safe to use?

Yes, when used and maintained properly. LBP batteries have a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) that protects against overcharging, overheating and short circuits.

How should I store my lithium battery when not in use?

Store it in a cool, dry place, ideally at about 50% charge. Avoid leaving it fully charged or fully depleted for long periods.

Are lithium batteries environmentally friendly?

They are more environmentally friendly than lead-acid thanks to their longer lifespan and higher efficiency. Proper recycling at the end of life is still important.
